Welcome to my blog today! My name is Kerry Kerr, from Sweetpea Stationery and I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Today Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world are being highlighted by top Australian Demonstrator Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for your favourite project! The top ten will get to be part of an international blog hop hosted by Kylie so I would really appreciate a vote! You can vote by clicking this link and choosing me – Kerry Kerr from Sweetpea Stationery!
Our theme for this highlight is Get Well Soon. It’s always nice to let someone know you are thinking of them, but it’s especially nice when someone is feeling under the weather.
For this card I went with the amazing Detailed Floral thinlits from Stampin’ Up! and I paired it with the stunning Falling in Love Designer Series Paper from the Spring / Summer catalogue that launched in January.
I know all of us are loving the new Spring / Summer catalogue, as well as the Sale-A-Bration goodies – I mean who doesn’t love new stamps?! However I think the Detailed Floral thinlits from the Annual Catalogue are so sophisticated, and they are perfect for a thoughtful Get Well card.
I used Crumb Cake cardstock to co-ordinate with the Falling In Love DSP. The banner is cut from a co-ordinating piece of DSP using a framelit from the Cupcake framelits in the Annual Catalogue but you could simply flag the ends if you wish. I raised it up on dimensionals and stamped the “Get Well Wishes” sentiment from the Teeny Tiny sentiments stamp set in Early Espresso ink. A few rhinestones and I was done! A quick and easy card, that looks really impressive!
